By taxi from the railway station
Taxi stands are located at the eastern (Bahnhofsplatz) as well as at the western (Bahnhofsallee) exits of the railway station. The latter is most convenient if you arrive by the rapid ICE (Inter City Express) train. (See map.)
Tell the taxi driver to go to Weende, Universität-Nord, Tammannstraße 6. The taxi fare is around 10 EUR.
By bus

On workdays during business hours buses circulate every 30 minutes at least. Tickets can be bought from the driver in the bus. One-way fare is 1.90 EUR, a set of 4 tickets ("Viererkarte") costs 6.20 EUR (discount of 20%), a 1-day-ticket ("Tageskarte") costs 4.40 EUR (as of February 2009).

Leave the railway station to the east (Bahnhofsplatz, Berliner Straße). The bus terminal (ZOB, Zentraler Omnibus Bahnhof) is located at the southern (right hand) side of Bahnhofsplatz.(See map.)
Take line no. 12 direction Holtensen or no. 8 direction Weende-Ost to bus stop Goldschmidtstraße. Walk 50 m back (south, Robert-Koch-Straße) then 150 m left (east, Goldschmidtstraße) then another 150 m left (north, Tammannstraße). (See local map.)
From the center of the city
Departure is favorable from bus stop Jüdenstraße some 150 m east of Altes Rathaus (old city hall), Markt. (See map.)
Take line no. 8 direction Weende-Ost to bus stop Goldschmidtstraße (see previous section). Or take line no. 5 direction Nikolausberg to bus stop Tammannstraße. Walk 150 m north along Tammannstraße. (See local map.)
Leave the Autobahn (motorway) A7 (E45) at the exit Göttingen-Nord. Continue 4 km on Bundesstraße B27 to Göttingen-Weende to the crossing with Hannoversche Straße (traffic lights). Continue straight on Bundesstraße B27 (An der Lutter) 600 m, just 50 m before a bridge (Robert-Koch-Straße) crosses the road. Turn right, then left, following the signs to Universität-Nord or Polizei (police). Continue on Robert-Koch-Straße 350 m north, turn right (east) into Goldschmidtstraße, after 150 m turn left (north) into Tammannstraße and continue for another 150 m. (See local map.)
