Richard Forck has completed his "Hausarbeit" on the soft ionization of alcohol clusters using sodium atom pickup under the guidance of Thomas Zeuch. He continues work on this experiment during his PhD thesis under the supervison of Thomas Zeuch.

Franz Kollipost

In his Diploma thesis (2009) Franz Kollipost investigated the aggregation of lactones and carbonates using infrared spectroscopy. He also spent some time in the Fausto group in Coimbra. In his PhD thesis (2010-), he will extend our cluster IR spectrometer further into the far and near IR.

Juhyon Lee

After a diploma thesis in the Klopper group and the degree from the University of Karlsruhe, Juhyon joined our group in summer 2008 for a PhD project on the aggregation of strongly hydrogen-bonded molecules behind heated nozzle expansions, addressing issues of chirality recognition, conformational selection and competition by dispersion interactions.

In his Diploma thesis (2009), Nils Lüttschwager investigates proton transfer systems like malonaldehyde using Raman jet spectroscopy. He also spent some time in the Coussan group in Marseille. In his PhD thesis (2010-), he will extend the scope of our Raman spectrometer in a range of ways.

Marija completed her "Hausarbeit" on alcohol-water clusters in 2008. In her PhD, she is setting up a chemical imaging laboratory including an FTIR microscope in the context of the IMPRS for Physics of Biological and Complex Systems. One focus of her work is chirality recognition in sublimating solids.

Dr. Thomas Zeuch

Thomas joined our group in November 2004 as a postdoctoral research associate to study clusters and nanoparticles with mass-spectrometric and IR-spectroscopic techniques.
